Glenrossie Santa Gertrudis cows have been bred up from selected females over the years.

Santa Gertrudis cows are clever and are excellent feed converters. They milk well, have a high percentage of butterfat, and are very good mothers.

They are easy calvers, producing low birth weight calves that have excellent growth rates.

Santa Gertrudis cows are long lived and capable of covering long distances to feed and water due to their typical bos indicus gait. This ability to travel indicates long standing genetic soundness in legs and feet.

They also have a genetic resistance to ticks, cancer eye and bloat.

Santa Gertrudis are true 'easy care' cows that look after themselves and produce large growthy offspring, making them the perfect cow for large commercial beef breeders.
